Bed bug facts:
Bed Bugs can lay one to five eggs in a day and more than 500 in a lifetime.
Bed bugs can survive for several months without eating.
Bed bugs can withstand a wide range of temperatures, from nearly freezing to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.
Bed bugs draw blood for about five minutes before retreating to digest.
Bed bugs hatchlings are so small they can pass through a stitch-hole in a mattress.
Bed bugs can ingest seven times their own weight in blood, which would be the equivalent of an average-sized male drinking 120 gallons of liquid.
Bed Bug Eggs:
There is, in fact, no contact or residual chemical that will kill eggs. That's why standard chemical treatment for bed bugs involves spraying once and spraying a second time in two weeks when the eggs have hatched. You basically have to wait for the eggs to hatch and then kill the nymphs.
What to do if you find bed bugs:
Unfortunately, a pesticide application is almost always required to eliminate bed bugs completely. A pesticide alone, however, isn't going to get the job done. You're going to need to do a lot of housekeeping and cleaning, because bed bugs can hide anywhere and everywhere, and pesticides can't be applied to everything you own. You'll need to get rid of your clutter, and launder everything that's washable in hot water. You'll probably need to do a lot of vacuuming, and may need to steam clean your carpets and furniture.

NOTE: If you have a bed bug infestation, get help immediately. The longer you wait, the more difficult and expensive bed bug elimination will
be.
Our Bedbug Service:
Our bedbug treatment is instant insecticide spray, residual insecticide
spray, pesticide dust (long lasting and controls bed bugs, mites, lice, ticks, and fleas,) and in severe cases fumigation, but unfortunately,
for this type of pest, re-infestations frequently occur.
The on going fight against bed bugs:
Once the pest
controller has begun the treatment process, for complete eradication,
constant diligence by the cleaners and a change in the method of
cleaning (hovering and insecticiding the mattresses, rugs, curtain
pelmets, cuddly toys, cushions, sofas etc) and a change in the
frequency of the cleaning (preferably on a daily basis) is strongly
recommended until the creatures are gone. See our
post treatment
tips.
